Installation And Setup

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Before first use, make sure to read the Safety Instructions as well as the Important Information and Operating Principle sections of this manual. These contain essential recommendations on safe operation, proper placement, operating modes, and environmental conditions to ensure maximum effectiveness of the device.

1. PREPARATION FOR USE

  • Unpack the device and keep the packaging for off-season storage.
  • Remove the accessory kit from the box. The kit includes: carabiner for suspension, cleaning brush, 1 disposable catch replacement trapping net (additional catch replacement trapping nets purchased separately), disposal bags, user manual.

2. PLACEMENT

  • Place the Mosqitter® Mini on a flat, stable surface or securely suspend it using the built-in handle (see item 1, fig. 4) or the included carabiner (see item 13, fig. 4).
  • Position the device at a height of 1.5 to 5 feet (approx. 0.5–1.5 m) above ground level. This ensures optimal mosquito attraction and convenient maintenance access.
  • If mounted in a hanging position (see fig. 3), make sure the mounting point is strong and secure enough to support the device’s weight, and is located safely away from people and animals to prevent accidental falls or injuries.
  • Do not place the device on the ground, grass, or other low surfaces – this reduces its effectiveness in attracting mosquitoes.
  • Maintain a distance of at least 5 ft (approx. 1.5 m) from people and animals when using the Indoor mode, and 10–15 ft (approx. 3–4 m) when using the Outdoor mode, to avoid drawing mosquitoes into occupied areas.
  • Avoid placing the device near other sources of light, as this may reduce its performance.

3. POWER AND STARTUP

  • Connect the power cord (see item 11, fig. 4) of the Mosqitter® Mini to an electrical outlet.
  • The device turns on automatically when plugged in – there is no need to press the power button.
  • For best results, keep the device running continuously, except during cleaning or maintenance.
  • To enhance outdoor performance, it is recommended to use Mosquilure by Mosqitter®, a specially designed natural attractant scent that appeals to mosquitoes. It can be purchased separately at Mosqitter.com. (For outdoor use only)
